iOS 8
There’s a lot of nice stuff here; much of it feels like finally catching up to Android and Windows Phone, but hey, I’ll take it.
What pleases me the most is that the iPad apps are taking inspiration from their desktop counterparts, whereas in iOS 7 they were pretty much all lame, stretched versions of the Phone apps. Moving the draft out of the way in Mail is particularly cool, and the sort of thing I hope we get more of. It reminds me of ye olde first Twitter iPad app with its sliding sheets. It’s sad that that app still seems like a high point in within-app multi-tasking… despite dying years ago.
